The weight loss has slowed down but I'm nearly 1 and a half stones off now.

Well, the gentle exercise has been rewarded. 7 1/2 lbs lighter on the scales tonight and the envy of the Slimming World class. That's the first stone gone now.

The scales were not so kind tonight 1 1/2 on however I'm not discouraged. I've started some gentle excercise and signed up for a 10K run which takes place in May.

On the plus side I have noticed my clothes are starting to fit better. My mantra is "It's a marathon not a sprint".

Weigh in last night at Slimming World and another 2lbs off. The temptation of chocolate and cake is still there but I'm starting to think a little more about what I eat.

I'm looking forward to this week!

I've joined Slimming World. The programme leader always explains the importance of eating non processed foods. Her advice is this "be careful if you eat things that do not come in their own skin"

So far I've dropped 6lbs. Still a long way off the 40lbs I need to loose but it is a good start.

If you have diabetes and want to lose weight, I can tell you that I have learned the importance of non processed foods and fiber content in the food choices you make. Foods that are high in fiber will stretch out the release of the total carbohydrates into your system allowing you to process with less of the wasted carbs going to your waistline. And portion control is always helpful as most North Americans have learned the hard way. www.calorieking.com is a great way to search all foods and their Nutritional value. It even hosts restaurant menu items and can track your calorie intake for you.
