I thought it would be nice to share good practice. I am always happy to find tasty recipes which I won't feel guilty using.

I would like to share my sweet potato low GI recipe with you all as it has become one of my favourite meals.

finely chop spring onions, celery and lots of fresh coriander, chucks of Feta cheese & drizzle in a good quantity of EVV olive oil and the juice of a lemon. Leave in fridge whilst you bake sweet potatoes for about 35-40 mins or until soft (I prefer to use 2-3 small ones to reduce cooking time and add more fibre. I just put the potatoes in as they are, no oil or anything.
6 mins before they are ready I roast a few vine tomatoes in olive oil and a bit of balsamic vinegar to add to the finished dish. Simply stuff the hot potatoes with the filling and enjoy.
The sharp feta cheese is a wonderful complement to the sweet root vegetable.

Hope someone fancies trying this if they like the ingredients.

I am wondering if anyone from the U.K. can help me! I am planning a 50th birthday party for my sister-in-law who comes from Leicester. We were thinking of an 80s theme. Are there any fad foods that were popular in England in the 80s? Also, I would love any English recipes for curry and meat pies and any kind of appetizers or desserts or any foods that you would find at a party. Doesn't have to be low carb. Any help would be appreciated or she will have to endure American foods! Thanks so much!
