I have been type 2 diabetic since 2001, and until about two years ago my BSL was controlled by diet only. Since then I have been on Diabex - 2 tablets daily, then increased to 3. Recently I put it up to 4.

My BSL was really steady until recently, below 8 in the morning, and regular, so that I only tested weekly.
At a recent check up with my GP, he suggested that the morning reading should be under 7, and after meals, below 11.
Lately the morning readings have been between 8 and 10, while the day time readings after meals have been  between 7 and 9!

I haven't changed my diet, except to go on a range of vitamins prescribed by a naturopath.

Can anyone explain why my readings seem to be back to front?

thanks,   Leigh

Your body adapts to medians and different ones work different ways as well like Metformin (Brand names: Fortamet, Glucophage, Glumetza) works in digestive tract and Januvia works in liver. Some people need to have insulin like Humalog 70/30 once a day along with oral medication to control bGl. As always consult a doctor to see what is going on with your body.
